The cost of a college education continues to rise at an alarming rate. Since 1990, the Consumer Price Index - a benchmark of inflation - has increased by 53 percent. During that same time, the total cost of a college education increased by 96 percent. For that reason, members of the Ohio House made higher education a priority in the recently passed House version of the budget bill, House Bill 119.
